Computational linguistics
Background in computational linguistics. Has spent the last three decades at the intersection of language and systems, building tools that handle text the way texts deserve to be handled. The technical half of a conversation that has been going on since the 1990s.
Localization operations
Coordinated localization for Apple in the 1990s, when internationalization meant resource files and double-byte character sets. Has been running localization operations at scale (for Apple and for some of the most exacting clients in enterprise software) ever since. The operational half.

Lead engineer
PhD in experimental sciences. Two decades building AI systems for regulated industries: the kind of contexts where “it seemed to work” is not an acceptable evaluation standard. Responsible for pipeline architecture, model evaluation methodology, and the infrastructure that production-quality output requires.
Senior project managers
Fifteen to twenty years running localization operations for Apple and for some of the most exacting clients in enterprise software. They have seen what happens when terminology is inconsistent at scale. They have also seen what happens when it is not. That difference is what they bring to every project.
Designer
Thinks about localization the way a typographer does: as something that happens to images, layouts, and visual systems, not only to strings. Text expansion, bidirectional layout, locale-specific typographic conventions: these are design problems that most localization workflows ignore and most designers have never encountered.
